How To Uninstall tcl-memchan-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall tcl-memchan-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcl-memchan-dev

Tcl extension for in-memory channels - development filesDebian 7.0libdevel2.3-2
sudo apt-get remove tcl-memchan-dev

This will remove just the tcl-memchan-dev package itself.

Uninstall tcl-memchan-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcl-memchan-dev

This will remove the tcl-memchan-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcl-memchan-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcl-memchan-dev

Or similarly, like this tcl-memchan-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcl-memchan-dev
