How To Uninstall tclthread On Debian 7

To uninstall tclthread just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tclthread

Tcl extension implementing script level access to Tcl threading capabilitiesDebian 7.0interpreters1:2.6.7-1
sudo apt-get remove tclthread

This will remove just the tclthread package itself.

Uninstall tclthread and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tclthread

This will remove the tclthread package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tclthread then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tclthread

Or similarly, like this tclthread

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tclthread
