How To Uninstall tcpd On Debian 7

To uninstall tcpd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcpd

Wietse Venema's TCP wrapper utilitiesDebian 7.0net7.6.q-24
sudo apt-get remove tcpd

This will remove just the tcpd package itself.

Uninstall tcpd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcpd

This will remove the tcpd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcpd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcpd

Or similarly, like this tcpd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcpd
