How To Uninstall tcpxtract On Debian 7

To uninstall tcpxtract just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcpxtract

extracts files from network traffic based on file signaturesDebian 7.0net1.0.1-8
sudo apt-get remove tcpxtract

This will remove just the tcpxtract package itself.

Uninstall tcpxtract and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcpxtract

This will remove the tcpxtract package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcpxtract then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcpxtract

Or similarly, like this tcpxtract

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcpxtract
