How To Uninstall tcsh On Debian 7

To uninstall tcsh just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcsh

TENEX C Shell, an enhanced version of Berkeley cshDebian 7.0shells6.18.01-2
sudo apt-get remove tcsh

This will remove just the tcsh package itself.

Uninstall tcsh and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcsh

This will remove the tcsh package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcsh then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcsh

Or similarly, like this tcsh

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcsh
