How To Uninstall testdisk On Debian 7

To uninstall testdisk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just testdisk

Partition scanner and disk recovery toolDebian 7.0admin6.13-1
sudo apt-get remove testdisk

This will remove just the testdisk package itself.

Uninstall testdisk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove testdisk

This will remove the testdisk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for testdisk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge testdisk

Or similarly, like this testdisk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove testdisk
