How To Uninstall tftp On Debian 7

To uninstall tftp just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tftp

Trivial file transfer protocol clientDebian 7.0net0.17-18
sudo apt-get remove tftp

This will remove just the tftp package itself.

Uninstall tftp and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tftp

This will remove the tftp package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tftp then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tftp

Or similarly, like this tftp

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tftp
