How To Uninstall thunar On Debian 7

To uninstall thunar just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thunar

File Manager for XfceDebian 7.0xfce1.2.3-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove thunar

This will remove just the thunar package itself.

Uninstall thunar and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunar

This will remove the thunar package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunar then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunar

Or similarly, like this thunar

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunar
