How To Uninstall tidy On Debian 7

To uninstall tidy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tidy

HTML syntax checker and reformatterDebian 7.0web20091223cvs-1.2+deb7u1
sudo apt-get remove tidy

This will remove just the tidy package itself.

Uninstall tidy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tidy

This will remove the tidy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tidy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tidy

Or similarly, like this tidy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tidy
