How To Uninstall tk-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall tk-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tk-dev

The Tk toolkit for Tcl and X11 (default version) - development filesDebian 7.0devel8.5.0-2.1
sudo apt-get remove tk-dev

This will remove just the tk-dev package itself.

Uninstall tk-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tk-dev

This will remove the tk-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tk-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tk-dev

Or similarly, like this tk-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tk-dev
