How To Uninstall tk-tktray On Debian 7

To uninstall tk-tktray just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tk-tktray

Freedesktop system tray icon support for Tcl/Tk on X11Debian 7.0interpreters1.3.9-2
sudo apt-get remove tk-tktray

This will remove just the tk-tktray package itself.

Uninstall tk-tktray and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tk-tktray

This will remove the tk-tktray package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tk-tktray then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tk-tktray

Or similarly, like this tk-tktray

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tk-tktray
