How To Uninstall tmpreaper On Debian 7

To uninstall tmpreaper just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tmpreaper

cleans up files in directories based on their ageDebian 7.0admin1.6.13+nmu1
sudo apt-get remove tmpreaper

This will remove just the tmpreaper package itself.

Uninstall tmpreaper and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tmpreaper

This will remove the tmpreaper package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tmpreaper then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tmpreaper

Or similarly, like this tmpreaper

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tmpreaper
