How To Uninstall tokyotyrant-utils On Debian 7

To uninstall tokyotyrant-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tokyotyrant-utils

Tokyo Tyrant utilitiesDebian 7.0utils1.1.40-4.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove tokyotyrant-utils

This will remove just the tokyotyrant-utils package itself.

Uninstall tokyotyrant-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tokyotyrant-utils

This will remove the tokyotyrant-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tokyotyrant-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tokyotyrant-utils

Or similarly, like this tokyotyrant-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tokyotyrant-utils
