How To Uninstall torque-client On Debian 7

To uninstall torque-client just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just torque-client

command line interface to Torque serverDebian 7.0utils2.4.16+dfsg-1+deb7u4
sudo apt-get remove torque-client

This will remove just the torque-client package itself.

Uninstall torque-client and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove torque-client

This will remove the torque-client package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for torque-client then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge torque-client

Or similarly, like this torque-client

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove torque-client
