How To Uninstall tracker-explorer On Debian 7

To uninstall tracker-explorer just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tracker-explorer

metadata database, indexer and search tool - developer toolDebian 7.0gnome0.14.1-3
sudo apt-get remove tracker-explorer

This will remove just the tracker-explorer package itself.

Uninstall tracker-explorer and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tracker-explorer

This will remove the tracker-explorer package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tracker-explorer then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tracker-explorer

Or similarly, like this tracker-explorer

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tracker-explorer
