How To Uninstall trash-cli On Debian 7

To uninstall trash-cli just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just trash-cli

command line trashcan utilityDebian 7.0utils0.12.7-1
sudo apt-get remove trash-cli

This will remove just the trash-cli package itself.

Uninstall trash-cli and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove trash-cli

This will remove the trash-cli package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for trash-cli then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge trash-cli

Or similarly, like this trash-cli

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove trash-cli
