How To Uninstall treetop On Debian 7

To uninstall treetop just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just treetop

Ruby-based text parsing and interpretation (command-line utility)Debian 7.0ruby1.4.10-5
sudo apt-get remove treetop

This will remove just the treetop package itself.

Uninstall treetop and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove treetop

This will remove the treetop package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for treetop then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge treetop

Or similarly, like this treetop

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove treetop
