How To Uninstall tshark On Debian 7

To uninstall tshark just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tshark

network traffic analyzer - console versionDebian 7.0net1.8.2-5wheezy18
sudo apt-get remove tshark

This will remove just the tshark package itself.

Uninstall tshark and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tshark

This will remove the tshark package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tshark then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tshark

Or similarly, like this tshark

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tshark
