How To Uninstall ttf-devanagari-fonts On Debian 7

To uninstall ttf-devanagari-fonts just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ttf-devanagari-fonts

transitional dummy packageDebian 7.0fonts2:1.1
sudo apt-get remove ttf-devanagari-fonts

This will remove just the ttf-devanagari-fonts package itself.

Uninstall ttf-devanagari-fonts and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ttf-devanagari-fonts

This will remove the ttf-devanagari-fonts package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ttf-devanagari-fonts then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ttf-devanagari-fonts

Or similarly, like this ttf-devanagari-fonts

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ttf-devanagari-fonts
