How To Uninstall ttf-linux-libertine On Debian 7

To uninstall ttf-linux-libertine just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ttf-linux-libertine

Linux Libertine family of fonts (dummy package)Debian 7.0oldlibs5.1.3-1
sudo apt-get remove ttf-linux-libertine

This will remove just the ttf-linux-libertine package itself.

Uninstall ttf-linux-libertine and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ttf-linux-libertine

This will remove the ttf-linux-libertine package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ttf-linux-libertine then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ttf-linux-libertine

Or similarly, like this ttf-linux-libertine

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ttf-linux-libertine
