How To Uninstall fglrx-modules-dkms On Debian 7

To uninstall fglrx-modules-dkms just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fglrx-modules-dkms

dkms module source for the non-free ATI/AMD RadeonHD display driverDebian 7.0non-free/kernel1:12-6+point-3
sudo apt-get remove fglrx-modules-dkms

This will remove just the fglrx-modules-dkms package itself.

Uninstall fglrx-modules-dkms and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fglrx-modules-dkms

This will remove the fglrx-modules-dkms package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fglrx-modules-dkms then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fglrx-modules-dkms

Or similarly, like this fglrx-modules-dkms

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fglrx-modules-dkms
