How To Uninstall jhove On Debian 7

To uninstall jhove just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jhove

JSTOR/Harvard Object Validation EnvironmentDebian 7.0non-free/utils1.6+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove jhove

This will remove just the jhove package itself.

Uninstall jhove and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jhove

This will remove the jhove package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jhove then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jhove

Or similarly, like this jhove

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jhove
