How To Uninstall seaview On Debian 7

To uninstall seaview just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just seaview

Multiplatform interface for sequence alignment and phylogenyDebian 7.0non-free/science1:4.3.3-3
sudo apt-get remove seaview

This will remove just the seaview package itself.

Uninstall seaview and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove seaview

This will remove the seaview package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for seaview then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge seaview

Or similarly, like this seaview

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove seaview
