How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ivtv On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ivtv just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-video-ivtv

X.Org X server -- IVTV display driver by the iTVC15 family of MPEG codecs. The iTVC15 family includes the iTVC15 (CX24315) and iTVC16 (CX24316). These chips are commonly found on Hauppauge's WinTV PVR-250 and PVR-350 TV capture cards.Kali Linux 2017.1contrib/x111.1.2-2+b5
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-ivtv

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-video-ivtv package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ivtv and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ivtv

This will remove the xserver-xorg-video-ivtv package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-video-ivtv then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-ivtv

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-video-ivtv

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ivtv
