How To Uninstall xarchiver On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xarchiver just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xarchiver

GTK+ frontend for most used compression formats xz, 7z, arj, bzip2, gzip, rar, tar, zip, rpm and deb files. It allows you to create archives and add, extract, and delete files from them. Password protected archives in the arj, 7z, rar and zip formats are supported.Kali Linux 2017.1x111:0.5.4.11-1
sudo apt-get remove xarchiver

This will remove just the xarchiver package itself.

Uninstall xarchiver and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xarchiver

This will remove the xarchiver package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xarchiver then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xarchiver

Or similarly, like this xarchiver

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xarchiver
