To uninstall xclip just follow these instructions.
sudo apt-get remove xclip
This will remove just the xclip package itself.
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xclip
This will remove the xclip package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
If you also want to delete your local/config files for xclip then this will work.
sudo apt-get purge xclip
Or similarly, like this xclip
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xclip
