To uninstall xfce4-battery-plugin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfce4-battery-plugin

battery monitor plugin for the Xfce4 panel either /proc files or the new sysfs files for recent kernels. You can use this applet to monitor your battery level and be notified when your battery reaches low and critcal levels. sudo apt-get remove xfce4-battery-plugin

This will remove just the xfce4-battery-plugin package itself.

Uninstall xfce4-battery-plugin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfce4-battery-plugin

This will remove the xfce4-battery-plugin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfce4-battery-plugin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfce4-battery-plugin

Or similarly, like this xfce4-battery-plugin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfce4-battery-plugin
