To uninstall xfce4-equake-plugin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfce4-equake-plugin

Xfce panel plugin which monitors earthquakes earthquakes and displays an update each time a new earthquake occurs. In addition it can show alerts when heavy earthquakes have happened, display maps and webpages with more information, produce lists of hourly and daily earthquakes and update a handy signature file you can use in your emails. sudo apt-get remove xfce4-equake-plugin

This will remove just the xfce4-equake-plugin package itself.

Uninstall xfce4-equake-plugin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfce4-equake-plugin

This will remove the xfce4-equake-plugin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfce4-equake-plugin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfce4-equake-plugin

Or similarly, like this xfce4-equake-plugin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfce4-equake-plugin
