How To Uninstall xfig On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xfig just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfig

Facility for Interactive Generation of figures under X11 manipulate objects interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved. If the fig2dev program is installed, which is contained in the fig2dev package, the pictures can be printed on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats (e.g. to allow inclusion in LaTeX documents or web pages).Kali Linux 2017.1graphics1:3.2.6a-1
sudo apt-get remove xfig

This will remove just the xfig package itself.

Uninstall xfig and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfig

This will remove the xfig package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfig then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfig

Or similarly, like this xfig

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfig
