How To Uninstall xfonts-mplus On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xfonts-mplus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfonts-mplus

M+ bitmap 10/12 dot Latin/Japanese fonts for X11 includes ISO-8859-1,15 (6/10/12 dot) fonts and all Japanese jisx0208.1990 Kanji fonts (10/12 dot) as following:Kali Linux 2017.1fonts1:2.2.4-2
sudo apt-get remove xfonts-mplus

This will remove just the xfonts-mplus package itself.

Uninstall xfonts-mplus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfonts-mplus

This will remove the xfonts-mplus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfonts-mplus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfonts-mplus

Or similarly, like this xfonts-mplus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfonts-mplus
