How To Uninstall xfonts-shinonome On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xfonts-shinonome just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfonts-shinonome

Various 12,14,16 dot Japanese Kanji, iso8859-1 fonts for X11 Kanji, and ISO-8859-1 fonts for X11. It consists of k14goth 14 dot fonts, Shinonome 12 and 16 dot fonts. Shinonome 18 dot fonts are also included only for ISO-8859-1.Kali Linux 2017.1fonts1:0.9.11-2
sudo apt-get remove xfonts-shinonome

This will remove just the xfonts-shinonome package itself.

Uninstall xfonts-shinonome and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfonts-shinonome

This will remove the xfonts-shinonome package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfonts-shinonome then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfonts-shinonome

Or similarly, like this xfonts-shinonome

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfonts-shinonome
