How To Uninstall xfonts-wqy On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xfonts-wqy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xfonts-wqy

WenQuanYi Bitmap Song CJK font for X bitmap font for on-screen display of Chinese (traditional and simplified). It has arguably the most complete coverage for Chinese characters among all known open-source bitmap fonts, including CJK Unified IdeographKali Linux 2017.1fonts1.0.0~rc1-6
sudo apt-get remove xfonts-wqy

This will remove just the xfonts-wqy package itself.

Uninstall xfonts-wqy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xfonts-wqy

This will remove the xfonts-wqy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xfonts-wqy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xfonts-wqy

Or similarly, like this xfonts-wqy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xfonts-wqy
