sudo apt-get remove xmlcopyeditor-dbg

This will remove just the xmlcopyeditor-dbg package itself.

Uninstall xmlcopyeditor-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xmlcopyeditor-dbg

This will remove the xmlcopyeditor-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xmlcopyeditor-dbg then this will work.
