How To Uninstall xorg-server-source On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xorg-server-source just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xorg-server-source

Xorg X server - source files applied, and autotools files updated) sources for the X.Org ('Xorg') X server shipped in a tarball. This enables other projects re-using X server codebase (e.g. VNC servers) to (re-)use officially Debian-supported version of the X xserver for their builds.Kali Linux 2017.1x112:1.19.3-1
sudo apt-get remove xorg-server-source

This will remove just the xorg-server-source package itself.

Uninstall xorg-server-source and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xorg-server-source

This will remove the xorg-server-source package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xorg-server-source then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xorg-server-source

Or similarly, like this xorg-server-source

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xorg-server-source
