How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-dev On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xserver-xorg-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-dev

Xorg X server - development files This is not quite the same as the DDK (Driver Development Kit) from the XFree86 4.x and X.Org 6.7, 6.8 and 6.9 series of servers; it provides headers and a pkg-config file for drivers using autotools to build against.Kali Linux 2017.1x112:1.19.3-1
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-dev

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-dev package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-dev

This will remove the xserver-xorg-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-dev

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-dev
