How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-vesa On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall xserver-xorg-video-vesa just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-video-vesa

X.Org X server -- VESA display driver uses the standard VESA interface provided on all video cards, but runs unaccelerated. This driver is not recommended for use unless you have a problem with the normal driver for your card, because it will perform very badly.Kali Linux 2017.1x111:2.3.4-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-vesa

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-video-vesa package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-vesa and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-vesa

This will remove the xserver-xorg-video-vesa package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-video-vesa then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-vesa

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-video-vesa

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-vesa
