To uninstall xtrace just follow these instructions.
sudo apt-get remove xtrace
This will remove just the xtrace package itself.
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xtrace
This will remove the xtrace package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
If you also want to delete your local/config files for xtrace then this will work.
sudo apt-get purge xtrace
Or similarly, like this xtrace
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xtrace
