How To Uninstall gnome-system-log On Linux Mint 17

To uninstall gnome-system-log just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just gnome-system-log

system log viewer for GNOME filter or search expressions in them.Linux Mint 17gnome3.4.1+qiana
sudo apt-get remove gnome-system-log

This will remove just the gnome-system-log package itself.

Uninstall gnome-system-log and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gnome-system-log

This will remove the gnome-system-log package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for gnome-system-log then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge gnome-system-log

Or similarly, like this gnome-system-log

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gnome-system-log
