How To Uninstall gnome-terminal-data On Linux Mint 17

To uninstall gnome-terminal-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just gnome-terminal-data

Data files for the GNOME terminal emulator perform the following actions:Linux Mint 17gnome3.6.2+qiana
sudo apt-get remove gnome-terminal-data

This will remove just the gnome-terminal-data package itself.

Uninstall gnome-terminal-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gnome-terminal-data

This will remove the gnome-terminal-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for gnome-terminal-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge gnome-terminal-data

Or similarly, like this gnome-terminal-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gnome-terminal-data
