How To Uninstall marble-qt On Linux Mint 17.2

To uninstall marble-qt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just marble-qt

globe and map widget (no KDE dependencies) applications. The Marble widget shows the earth as a sphere but does not require hardware acceleration. A minimal set of geographical data is included, so it can be used without an internet connection.Linux Mint 17.2misc4:4.14.2-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa1
sudo apt-get remove marble-qt

This will remove just the marble-qt package itself.

Uninstall marble-qt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove marble-qt

This will remove the marble-qt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for marble-qt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge marble-qt

Or similarly, like this marble-qt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove marble-qt
