How To Uninstall e-mem On Parrot 3.7

To uninstall e-mem just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just e-mem

Efficient computation of Maximal Exact Matches for very large genomes does not use full text indexes. The algorithm uses much less space and is highly amenable to parallelization. It can compute all MEMs of minimum length 100 between the whole human and mouse genomes on a 12 core machine in 10 min and 2 GB of memory; the required memory can be as low as 600 MB. It can run efficiently genomes of any size. Extensive testing and comparison with currently best algorithms is provided.Parrot 3.7science1.0.0-1
sudo apt-get remove e-mem

This will remove just the e-mem package itself.

Uninstall e-mem and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove e-mem

This will remove the e-mem package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for e-mem then this will work.

Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge e-mem

Or similarly, like this e-mem

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove e-mem
