How To Uninstall mailman On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mailman just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailman

Powerful, web-based mailing list managerUbuntu 14.04 LTSmail1:2.1.16-2
sudo apt-get remove mailman

This will remove just the mailman package itself.

Uninstall mailman and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailman

This will remove the mailman package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailman then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailman

Or similarly, like this mailman

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailman
