How To Uninstall mdetect On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mdetect just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mdetect

mouse device autodetection toolUbuntu 14.04 LTSutils0.5.2.3build2
sudo apt-get remove mdetect

This will remove just the mdetect package itself.

Uninstall mdetect and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mdetect

This will remove the mdetect package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mdetect then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mdetect

Or similarly, like this mdetect

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mdetect
