How To Uninstall mono-runtime-dbg On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mono-runtime-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-runtime-dbg

Mono runtime, debugging symbolsUbuntu 14.04 LTSdebug3.2.8+dfsg-4ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove mono-runtime-dbg

This will remove just the mono-runtime-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mono-runtime-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-runtime-dbg

This will remove the mono-runtime-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-runtime-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-runtime-dbg

Or similarly, like this mono-runtime-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-runtime-dbg
