How To Uninstall mount On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mount just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mount

Tools for mounting and manipulating filesystemsUbuntu 14.04 LTSadmin2.20.1-5.1ubuntu20
sudo apt-get remove mount

This will remove just the mount package itself.

Uninstall mount and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mount

This will remove the mount package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mount then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mount

Or similarly, like this mount

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mount
