How To Uninstall manpages-posix-dev On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall manpages-posix-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just manpages-posix-dev

sudo apt-get remove manpages-posix-dev

This will remove just the manpages-posix-dev package itself.

Uninstall manpages-posix-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove manpages-posix-dev

This will remove the manpages-posix-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for manpages-posix-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge manpages-posix-dev

Or similarly, like this manpages-posix-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove manpages-posix-dev
