How To Uninstall mplayer-skin-blue On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mplayer-skin-blue just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mplayer-skin-blue

Transitional package for the 'blue' mplayer-skin packageUbuntu 14.04 LTSmultiverse/graphics3.1
sudo apt-get remove mplayer-skin-blue

This will remove just the mplayer-skin-blue package itself.

Uninstall mplayer-skin-blue and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mplayer-skin-blue

This will remove the mplayer-skin-blue package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mplayer-skin-blue then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mplayer-skin-blue

Or similarly, like this mplayer-skin-blue

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mplayer-skin-blue
