How To Uninstall mplayer-skins On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mplayer-skins just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mplayer-skins

Skins for the Mplayer packageUbuntu 14.04 LTSmultiverse/graphics3.1
sudo apt-get remove mplayer-skins

This will remove just the mplayer-skins package itself.

Uninstall mplayer-skins and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mplayer-skins

This will remove the mplayer-skins package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mplayer-skins then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mplayer-skins

Or similarly, like this mplayer-skins

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mplayer-skins
