How To Uninstall macchanger On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall macchanger just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just macchanger

utility for manipulating the MAC address of network interfacesUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/net1.7.0-1
sudo apt-get remove macchanger

This will remove just the macchanger package itself.

Uninstall macchanger and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove macchanger

This will remove the macchanger package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for macchanger then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge macchanger

Or similarly, like this macchanger

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove macchanger
