How To Uninstall mactelnet-client On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mactelnet-client just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mactelnet-client

Console tools for telneting and pinging via MAC addressesUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/net0.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove mactelnet-client

This will remove just the mactelnet-client package itself.

Uninstall mactelnet-client and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mactelnet-client

This will remove the mactelnet-client package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mactelnet-client then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mactelnet-client

Or similarly, like this mactelnet-client

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mactelnet-client
